The Good Question
I don’t want to waste any more time answering meaningless questions: what do you do, how much do you own, how good are you at everything? These questions tell us nothing about ourselves or each other. The interesting questions are the ones that get to the center of the matter: who are you? Why are you here? What have you learned?

The Good Question is a twice-monthly newsletter containing an inspired piece of writing by me, for you.
After 20 years working as a freelance communications consultant in the field of global health, I switched gears to complete my MFA in nonfiction writing at Eastern Washington University in 2020. My work has been published in several literary journals, local weeklies, and anthologies. At the end of 2023, I launched a (currently free) bi-monthly newsletter called The Good Question, which is a good way to read my work-in-progress. When not at my computer, I am an avid river rafter and canoe paddler, mountain biker, hiker, skier, and swimmer. In inclement weather, I content myself with books, puzzles, and an embarrassing amount of popcorn. If I could be granted a superpower, it would be to sing.
